Film #3 Peer Reviews

What specific elements of the film opening did you like?

Was there anything that left you confused? (be specific)

What suggestions do you have for changes?

I liked the camera angle from the bears POV. I also like the story telling.

Why does this not have an Oscar yet?

Talk louder because some scenes are too quiet.

The specific elements of the film that I liked was the use of costume and the props.

Nothing left me confused

I recommend that they should add a few transitions throughout the film and some credits at the end.

I thought the concept was very creative!! You can tell that the members put a lot of thought into their film opening -- between the costumes, camera shots, and storyline. I liked contrast from the camera shots coming from the bear v. a normal camera. Great job!

The scene where the girl was climbing a tree was kind of confusing. I understand the idea and that it was supposed to look like a home video, but maybe the ways in which it was shot was a little confusing.

I think for the home video/tree climb section could be changed a bit so the audience understands the transition to and from that "home video."

I loved the plot and interesting "home video" post of view. The dialogue and acting was great too!!

N/A

I think for the Home Video clips, it would be really cool if you could make it look like. VHS tape. There is a phone app called PreQuel that does this effect to video clips-I think it could really make the video cool!

I liked the different camera angles used, and how they built suspense

The film was fairly easy to understand, and the opening reminded me of an episode of black mirror

The high pitched scream at the end was pretty loud and hurt my ears

I like that the film was interesting, I liked the twist that the bear was haunted. I also liked the povs the camera filming angles gave us

there was a bit of a gap between when the main character is seen talking on the couch. ( I am guessing the bear did some damage). But i think it would be good to show the reader maybe a quick clip of what happened instead of telling them

I would integrate more suspense into the story, throughout the story I wasn't guessing what was going to happen. I would say show less to keep the viewer on their toes

I really liked the mystery behind the film. I thought it was very creative! There was a variety of angles and shots used to film which led the audience to understand that the students have a good understanding of the class and film. I liked the contrast used and characters, for their clothing and props were designed perfectly to fit the story.

I wasn't confused about anything, for the film was very clear on its purpose.

My only suggestion would be to maybe adjust the sound because it was hard to hear sometimes and I would have to raise to full volume, but other than that the film was great! Amazing job you guys!

Above is the peer reviews my group received. We overall got a lot of praise for our work. Some comments we received were to add an effect on the home video to make it look more "home videoy", adjust the sound in some scenes, and add more suspense to the story. We plan to reshoot one scene because the audio isn't great. We also plan to lower the music in some scenes.
