I drew the story board while Chelsey and I talked about our film. We both had a ton of input on camera shots and angels, sounds, and transitions for our film. It is a flashback film.

  Contrast- I chose to show the contrast between my calm dog and when hes possessive of food. My dog is usually very sweet and loving except for when he thinks you're going to take his food. Then he will bite you. Complete 180. Parallelism- I chose to show my dogs eye, then my eye. I hoped to connect us and show our likeness and relationship using something we have n common. He sees me and I see him. Symbolism- I showed by cheer poms and what they result in. We use poms to help create great energy at games. Poms symbolize cheer. Simultaneity- While my dog sits in his chair I do homework. Those always happen at the same time because hes only up there when I'm doing homework. Leit Motiff- I got my inspiration from Jaws. Every time I showed my dog i wanted there to be a warning sound. It makes people think they should be afraid.

Editing week 2

 We edited for the second week this past week. We edited in a title card. We matched up the music so that an intense part of the music played at the same time words showed up. We kept the music playing through out and lowered in when lines were spoken. We added in simple fade in and fade out transitions as we didn't want it to distract it from the story too much. We also ended up adding a voice over for a scream we had at the end of the film.

5 Master edits with sound

  Music- I chose to add music to the contrast edit to further differentiate the two clips. In the first you get a serene peaceful emotion and in the second you get an intense scary emotion. Even though its the same subject in both clips you get two very different emotions because of the different back ground music Non- d iegetic  sound- I chose to add off screen sound effects to the parallelism clip for comedic purposes. Its supposed to symbolize what the audiences reaction might be to the two of us. It's supposed to be funny because even though we are both doing the same thing the audience only likes the dog hence the cheering and booing when it shows me. Direct sound- I chose to keep the direct sound for the symbolism clip. It was only because i couldn't really think of any sounds or background music that would fit this clip.
