5 Master edits with sound

Music- I chose to add music to the contrast edit to further differentiate the two clips. In the first you get a serene peaceful emotion and in the second you get an intense scary emotion. Even though its the same subject in both clips you get two very different emotions because of the different back ground music

Non- diegetic sound- I chose to add off screen sound effects to the parallelism clip for comedic purposes. Its supposed to symbolize what the audiences reaction might be to the two of us. It's supposed to be funny because even though we are both doing the same thing the audience only likes the dog hence the cheering and booing when it shows me.

Direct sound- I chose to keep the direct sound for the symbolism clip. It was only because i couldn't really think of any sounds or background music that would fit this clip. Plus towards the end of the pom poms clip you can hear them ruffle which I think is nice.

Voice over- I chose to do a voice over for my simultaneity clip for comedic purposes too. It was showing my dog and his thoughts and then me and my thoughts which are starkly different. My dog is only wanting to be put down from his spot on the high chair and I am happy for his company. The emotion it conveys is comedic. Especially because we don't know what either of us is actually thinking. I chose his "lines" specifically because he his looking down in the shot.

Sound bridge- This is not the original music from the clip but it is the same music used from the leit mottif. I chose to again let it play over the whole clip because I felt seeing him from different angles was enough to get the point across This clip is again for comedic purposes to make an audience think that the small dog is somehow dangerous in some way.

I chose to comment on the movie Inception. I've seen it a few times before and I like it so much, I chose to revisit it for this assignment. 1.       Establishing shot of children on the beach. They were playing and building a sand structure of some sort. Laughing and giggling could be heard throughout this scene too. They were also running around with each other. You can hear the waves crashing in the background again and again. It is a calm start to an otherwise face paced movie. 1.       This is an over the shoulder shot of the main character though we do not know he’s the main character yet. Since it is the beginning of the movie and we still do not know much, its kind of mysterious. The dialogue, as you can see from the closed captions, is ominous. It’s making you think who this guy is, and why might he want to kill the other character. Its doing a great job of drawing the viewer in to stay for the rest of the film. 1.   ...

  This is a close up shot because i focused on only the pen. I just held my phone with one hand, and picked up the pen with the other. This is an establishing shot. Its of my house. It shows peacefulness.  This is a low angle shot of my dog. I'm not sure if you can tell but he was growling at me because he was growing tired of my antics. This is a head on shot of my plushie toy being thrown at the camera.
