The description of the “found film” is written in type writer/ script print. Then it begins right off the bat with the recordings to keep with the documentary type feel of the movie.

The images carry a mocked seriousness, which illustrates the film well because it is a parody.
4. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset?
You pick up on the found footage feel of it through: the font used in the beginning, the description of the events, and how the main character is talking to himself in the beginning of the movie.
5.How does the film establish an enigma from the outset?
Other than the brief description we got that describes the film as “found footage”, we’re not really sure what we’re watching. In the beginning, it’s just a man and his girlfriend who have moved into together. It’s makes us curious. It’s not until later in the film that we gradually start to see a scary element also come into play.
6.What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience?
The film is a parody of another. It begins the same way the actual movie does but also makes a joke right off the bat.
7. How has technology been used effectively? You might want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques.
It is filmed through a hand held camera by the main character. The film is supposed to be found footage. All editing and transitions amateur on purpose.
